Shifting Feels: Freelancing & What Awaits Us?

Updated: May 14, 2020

Are you a full time employee who wants a change of career? Or an employee who just got fired off from work? A full-time Mom who wants to earn extra income ? Or a woman who just wants to have freedom? Maybe someone whose interest is in the word of Virtual? Or somebody whose dreams are to escape from survival?

Is FREELANCING a stopgap? Or a permanent choice you Love?

Either or Neither of those, We all have that same shifting feelings when we are out of our zones.I wanna talk about my perspective of stepping out to a new journey of Freelancing. And How I came up with it , thought about it and took it. A lot of us ,if not scared, are willing to try new things. We venture and we experiments. Especially for single women out there, young professionals, we seldom think of the word settlement because we want freedom. Freedom in work, time, decision making, freedom to choose, even freedom of Dependency. But Freedom, is a big word for those who are fearful. It is a wishful thinking that requires a big leap of faith for those who want to remain in their own zones. In this society that we're in, people tend to follow what is accustomed to them. For example, if you want to earn money, you must be an employee, and every employee has an employer, therefore, if you want to work and earn money, you must have an employer. You need someone who is superior to you so you can earn something. And as for me,I don't like the idea of it. In Freelancing, You are your own Employer. You have the freedom in everything.

It took me 2-working years to realize that sometimes some employers don't really appreciate what they had-Employee. Honestly speaking, some employers are just using the workforce of an employee to gain their own interest only. And I don't want to be used for someone else's interest without the benefits for my own . I mean, who does? So, right now, as I am writing this, it's very evident that I don't need some other reasons why I shouldn't be a Freelancer.

"But wait? It's a new path for me, It's something that some people can't even fully comprehend. It's new to my ear and the thought of stepping out in society's norm is frightening. What if I fail? What if I can't make it ? What if it's not for me ? Is this the right thing? "

All those questions were some of the problems we encounter before stepping into a new ground. Admit it, we all have that "what-ifs" in mind. I do, too , have these. So, before stepping In to a new path, Why don't you first Step Out from Uncertainty? Uncertainty kills our mind, even killing our dreams. It hinders you from what Freelancing awaits for you. Second is, If you Don't understand and fully grasped your new path, especially in Freelancing then you might as well get to know it better the other way around. What I mean to say is that, some of us if we don't actually know the right definition, background or nature of work in Freelancing, we tend to give up,back out and that's when we fail. Instead of giving up and backing out, we have to learn how to resist, learn how to know freelancing the other way around. If you don't have the talent, then keep practising and learning until it becomes your Skill. And skills can become your Talent. Next is, learning how to bounce back even when we're in failure. Yes, this has always been the hardest part but as a freelancer, you've got to have that perseverance and dedication to get to your goal. What good do we get if we remain to a zone where growth is static ? We are meant to stand out, excel in our career while living in Freedom. If we just keep on doing what we have learned, our services as a Freelancer, whatever focus we're into, would be exemplary, excellent and a reflection of what we Love. Well, there are opportunities lie awaits in Freelancing, not just once or twice but a lot for all of us who are risk takers !

You've got to have that perseverance and dedication to get to your goal.
